10K GENERAL INFO

Start Time: 9:00 AM (no early start)

Finish Cutoff Time: 12:00 PM

​*This trail 10k is a bit long at about 10.3k (6.4 miles).

Headwaters Trail Runs is a cupless event.  Runners will need to carry with them a water bottle, hydration bladder, or collapsible
 cup (see HydraCup or UltrAspire), or other means to receive drink aid at the aid stations.

300 N Mt Shasta Blvd.) from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM.

NOTE: Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to future Headwaters Trail Runs events or other participants.

10K AWARDS & PRIZES

Top 3 overall female and male receive awards from our sponsors.
Top 3 female and male in each 10-year age group receive age group awards. ​​
All finishers receive a finisher's medallion.

10K AID STATION

There is 1 aid station along the 10k course at 3.2 miles.  This aid station will only provide beverages. 
Drop bags are not allowed for the 10K race.
Spectators may park at any Lake Siskiyou Trail parking area. 
The cutoff time is strictly enforced for the sake of the generous volunteers that make this event possible.

Headwaters Trail Runs is a cupless event.  The decision to be a cupless event is an effort to reduce the paper and plastic waste generated by the event.  Runners will need to carry with them a water bottle, hydration bladder, or collapsible cup (see HydraCup or UltrAspire), or other means to receive drink aid at the aid stations.  ​

10K CREWS & PACERS

Crews and pacers are not allowed on the 10k course. 

10K DOG POLICY

Dogs are allowed to run the 10k course.  If you choose to run with your dog, your pet is solely your responsibility.  Please ensure that your pet is properly trained for the distance, and avoid putting her/him at risk.  ​You must keep your pet leashed during the run, pick up after your pet, and respect other trail users.  Runners with dogs must yield to those runners without dogs.

10K DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From The Fifth Season:
            1.  Drive southwest on Lake St. for 0.9 miles
            2.  Turn left onto South Old Stage Road, go 0.2 miles
            3.  Veer slight right onto WA Barr Road, go 3.7 miles
            4.  Turn right into Lake Siskiyou Resort
                    4239 WA Barr Rd, Mount Shasta, CA 96067
            5.  The Start/Finish is near the boat ramp located on the
                   north side of the campground
