COURSE MAP:
Alternate 31k course for 2023! Due to excessive spring snowmelt runoff in all forks of the Sacramento River above Lake Siskiyou we are forced to use an alternate 31k course in 2023. All efforts have been made to closely match the standard course distance and elevation gain, while prioritizing participant safety.
The 2023 alternate course is approximately 19.7-miles (31K) and 4075' of elevation gain.

31K Aid Stations
There are 3 full aid stations along the 31k course. The distance between aid stations ranges from 2.9 miles to 6.9 miles.
Drop Bags and crew are not allowed on the 31k course.
If you decide to drop you must tell an aid station volunteer. All runners will be tracked during the race for safety.
Cutoff times are strictly enforced for the sake of the generous volunteers that make this event possible.

31K RUNNER CREWS
Crews may assist 31k runners at the first Delta aid station only (AS 3). Crews may only assist their runners within 100 feet of the aid station. Note: It is about a 15-minute drive one-way between the start/finish area and the Delta aid station.
Pacers are not allowed on the 31K course.

31K DOG POLICY
Dogs are allowed to run the 31k course. If you choose to run with your dog, your pet is solely your responsibility. Please ensure that your pet is properly trained for the distance, and avoid putting her/him at risk. You must keep your pet leashed during the run, pick up after your pet, and respect other trail users. Runners with dogs must yield to those runners without dogs.

1. Drive southwest on Lake St. for 0.9 miles
2. Turn left onto South Old Stage Road, go 0.2 miles
3. Veer slight right onto WA Barr Road, go 1.8 miles
4. Turn right into Lake Siskiyou Parking Lot (Lavada's Parking)
5. The Start/Finish is a 1/4-mile walk to the south end of Box Canyon Dam
