TRAINING RUN DATES ANNOUNCED
SATURDAY MAY 17, 2025
21-miles
We will run the entire 34k course from start to finish. This run has approximately 4,000’ of elevation gain (3,200’ – 5,300’).
This is a self-supported run - there will not be aid along the course. However, there is a reliable natural spring at about 9-miles. This is a natural water source – bring a water filter or drink at your own risk.

SUNDAY MAY 18, 2025
18-miles
We will run an 18-mile out-and-back section between along the Sisson-Callahan trail to Mt. Eddy summit. This run has approximately 5,500’ of elevation gain (3,500’ – 9,000’).
Expect a river ford where you will get your feet wet at the beginning and end of the run.
Our ability to reach the summit of Mt. Eddy will depend on the remaining snowpack on the trail above about 6,000’.
The lower 3.5 miles of Sunday’s run will repeat the same section of trail from Saturday’s run.
This is a self-supported run - there will not be aid along the course. However, there are reliable natural springs at about 4.0-, 7.5, 11.0-, and 14.0-miles. These are natural water sources – bring a water filter or drink at your own risk.
Sunday's meet-up instructions:
1. Meet at the Box Canyon Dam parking area at 8:00 AM.
2. From the Box Canyon Dam we will caravan to the bottom of the Sisson-Callahan trail about a 20-minute (6-mile) drive on rough forest roads. Low clearance vehicles are not advised.

Registration fees increase for all race distances.
MARCH 28, 2025
Race distance labels for the long- and mid-distance races have been adjusted to more accurately represent the true course distances. Trail running race distances are always an approximation.
Due to the small changes in the long- and mid-distance courses in recent years, the distance labels have been updated to 52k and 34k.
The courses have not been changed since registration opened on January 1, 2025.
The 10k label is unchanged.
